We believe that our community is what we make it, so when it comes to making things happen, we put a smile on our faces, roll up our sleeves, take the “IM” out of impossible, and get things done.

Our club currently has 11 members (2026) including 3 Life members, one being a Founder member. New members are always welcome.
We do community volunteer work, helping, leading, planning and supporting others. Because we're local, we can serve the unique needs of the community that we live in and because we belong to a vast global organisation, we can address challenges that go beyond borders. We have fun with social activities as well as raising funds for projects that benefit our community.

During the summer months, our little blue Lions bus, painted in the Delaine Bus Company livery, is available for hire at fete's, rallies etc, giving rides for children of all ages. We also organise and run a Lion Fun Day during July which is well attended and provide Food Vouchers for the Bourne Food Bank, organise Dances and marshal at other community events. Many local organisations and individuals benefit from the work BOURNE LIONS do in the community, much of which goes without notice to the majority.

Our biggest fund raising event of the year is “Santa’s Sleigh” and every December we take SANTA for a tour around Bourne & surrounding villages making a lot of noise and banging on doors. On Saturdays we look after SANTA outside the local supermarkets, and are always well supported by the people of Bourne, with our collecting tins filling up fast during this period. On average “Santa and his helpers” raise over £8,000 which is used to help local good causes.

TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much
Together with the help from our members, sponsors, partners and the public we can achieve so much in helping those in need, and those less fortunate than ourselves.
Collectively we can make a difference.
